Enable X Tunneling Using SSH Secure Shell
If you are using an X server, you might need to have a "tunneled
connection."
In order to turn on X11 tunneling, create a bookmark; see Create Bookmarks Using SSH Secure
Shell/SFTP.
After you have created the bookmark, you will need to edit the profile
(i.e., bookmark) again.
- Click Profiles, then Edit Profiles. The
familiar Edit Profile window will appear.
- In the white box that makes up the left half of the window, click on the
name of the profile. A window similar to the one below will
appear:
- Click on the X11 Tunneling tab. A window similar to the
one below will appear:
- Check the box next to Tunnel X11 connections, then
click OK.
Naming Your Connection
We recommend naming a regular connection hostname, and
tunneled connection.
