The Web Services team consults with client departments by managing successful Web discovery and production projects while maintaining Dartmouth Web standards. Project Web sites contain planning, progress, and report documents.
Web Production and Design
Web Services manages non-curricular Web sites for College departments, provides guidance as to the architecture, design, and content of client sites, and produces consistent and accessible Web sites for key clients.
Web Content Development
Web Services supports content developers in client departments by migrating current Web content into sites that support excellence in user experience and editorial clarity.
Web Services provides browser-based page editing for client Web editors.
Web Publishing Tools and Resources
Web Services supports client's business needs by developing custom Web-based tools to simplify Web publishing for its clients. Although some tools solve department-specific needs, we favor systems that can be used effectively by larger groups of clients.
Computing Outreach
Web Services manages Computing Services outreach projects, increasingly, via the Web and in print. The group is responsible for reporting on Computing news and information, coordinating distribution with the Office of Public Affairs, and providing editorial support for computing documentation.
