IT Security News Across the Media

Dartmouth employs a layered approach to information security, using several different types of hardware and software to provide the best security level available.

Firewalls and e-mail filtering are part of the central security measures in place at the College. But you should know what's at risk for you and what you can do avoid being a victim of cyber crime, especially how to keep safe online.

This section also contains security resources, with a list of campus information security representatives and links to more on information security.

To Report Internet Abuses

If you receive a threatening or harassing e-mail, or witness someone using computing resources to commit a crime:

  • Contact Safety and Security at (603) 646-4000.
  • Go to the Safety and Security offices at 5 Rope Ferry Road, Second Floor. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
