Central Research Compute Servers

The following compute servers are available for use by Dartmouth researchers. They can be used for general-purpose computing and computationally intensive programs.

  • andes - A linux computer that has sixteen 64-bit opteron processors and 32 GB of memory.
  • polaris - A linux computer that has four 64-bit Intel Xeon processors and 17 GB of memory.

All of these computers have compilers and debuggers installed, math and visualization applications, and statistical applications. For the account application page, see Accounts for Researchers.
