SMART Classrooms

A SMART classroom is designed and equipped for video, computer, or traditional AV display along with use of chalkboards. Both a touch-screen automation system and fully redundant manual controls are provided.

Self-service Audio-visual Equipment

  • Integrated touch-screen control of audio-visual system equipment.
  • Installed data/video projector.
  • Macintosh, Windows, or dual boot computer with DVD drive.
  • Convenient input for laptops.
  • LAN and Internet access.
  • DVD player (dedicated unit or via computer).
  • SVHS videotape player.
  • IPTV (via computer).
  • Convenient input for other video, svideo, and audio sources.
  • Document camera or overhead transparency projector.
  • PA system and microphones (in rooms with capacities greater than 49 seats).
  • ADA compliance: Closed captioning decoder and hearing assist systems.
