Tips for Downloading Software

You should download the file into a folder, rather than onto your desktop.
Once downloaded, you may need to double-click the file to expand it, then use the expanded files to install the application. Other applications will automatically expand and create a folder that contains the installed application.
Some applications require a license or serial number. In some cases, one of the files that is expanded from the original file you downloaded will contain the appropriate licensing information -- look for a file named "ReadMe", or something similar.
