Devices that fall into this category may include older smart phones, older PDAs, robotic devices, vending machines, and embedded devices, among others.

These devices can be registered to use the wireless network without a certificate. Send an e-mail message to help@dartmouth.edu that includes the following information:

  • The make and model of the device you have.
  • The operating system it is using.
  • The MAC address of the device.
  • Why it needs to be connected to the wireless network.

Note: Registration of these systems is only available to Dartmouth faculty and staff.

You should be aware that when using these devices on the wireless network the data transmission will not be encrypted.

If you have problems obtaining this information, please contact the IT Service Desk (Help Desk) at 646-2999 or your department's IT support office.
