Any student can apply for a position with the Walk-In Center. Students are selected based on the following criteria (in this order):
All applications are reviewed by the Manager of the IT Walk-In Center. The applicants whose schedules and qualifications best match our needs are chosen. Students who have worked for the Walk-In Center in the past, and who have demonstrated consistent performance and initiative, are given priority over new applicants. The reverse is true as well; students who have demonstrated inconsistent or below-par work will be ranked beneath new applicants.
The first term is a probationary period, during which skills and performance are monitored and assessed. Rehiring will be based on these assessments.
