To join a list, you make a request to join the list through Blitz Web Access (BWA) or Outlook Web Access (OWA). An owner of a list can set up the list in one of 3 ways to process requests to join.
Open: If a list is "Open", anyone can join this group without being approved by the group owners.
Owner Approval: If a list is set up for "Owner Approval", all requests are approved or rejected by the group owners. An email is sent to the group Owner where they either approve or reject the request to join.
Closed: If a list is "Closed", members can be added only by the group owners. All requests to join will be rejected automatically.
You request to join a list by, from the BWA/OWA main mail window
- Choose Options, then See All Options.
- Choose Groups.
- Click Join in the Public Groups I belong to section in Public Groups.
- Select the name of the group that you would like to join.
- Click Join.
