Getting Started with Oracle Calendar

Once known as CorpTime, Oracle Calendar is calendar software that Dartmouth licenses for use by faculty, staff, and students at Dartmouth. It allows for individual and group scheduling. Faculty and staff who want to start using Oracle Calendar should send an e-mail to help@dartmouth.edu to request an Oracle Calendar account; students automatically have an account.

To Login

  • Enter your User Name [your complete Dartmouth Name Directory (DND, aka BlitzMail)] in the User Name field. If you do not know your User Name, click on the Search (magnifying glass) button to browse the current users in the database. Note that if your DND name includes a middle initial, the middle initial should not include a period after it. The User Name should appear as John T Doe.
  • Enter your DND password.
  • Click Sign-In.

Now when you sign into Oracle Calendar on your computer, your User Name and Server Name will be automatically provided in the Sign-In dialog box.

To Change Your Password

Your Oracle Calendar password is the same as your DND (aka BlitzMail) password. When you change your DND password, your online Oracle Calendar password will automatically be changed. (If you have elected to have a copy of your calendar offline, that offline calendar will continue to use your old password.)

Note: Some versions of BlitzMail allow you to enter passwords that are longer than eight characters. Oracle Calendar will not accept these passwords. If you are having issues, change your BlitzMail password to something that is exactly eight characters long. You should always change your password using the Change Password option in BlitzMail (from the BlitzMail menu, select Edit DND Entry, then click the Change Password button). Do not change your password in Oracle Calendar.

When logging in to Oracle Calendar on a Windows computer, if you use your middle initial, the logon attempt will fail if you enter a "period" (.) after the initial. It is best to use no period in the User Name field.

Tip: Passwords are case sensitive, so pay close attention to the position of the [caps lock] key.
