Collaboration Tools

Dartmouth maintains several kinds of collaboration tools that help students, faculty, and staff share files and work together on projects.

The best known of these for students and faculty is Blackboard. More information about Blackboard is in the Teaching & Learning section.

For file sharing and transport, you can use such programs as Documentum and FTP. More information on these services can be found by following the links below.

• Using a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Program - FTP provides a way for computers to exchange files.
• Using AbsoluteFTP - AbsoluteFTP is one of the commonly used Windows FTP programs at Dartmouth.
• Using Documentum - Documentum provides a way to securely store confidential files for your department
• Download Fetch - Fetch is one of the commonly used Macintosh FTP programs at Dartmouth
