What Is My Quota in the Blitz System?

Most people have 25 GB of space allocated to them. This is for all of your data, including e-mail, calendaring, tasks, contacts, etc.

How Do I Check My E-mail Quota?

  • Windows: In Outlook 2010, select the File tab, then Info in the left Navigation bar. In the Mailbox Cleanup section in the middle of the window, your mailbox usage appears.
  • Macintosh: In Outlook 2011, Ctrl+click a folder within your account. Select Folder Properties from the menu that appears, then click the Storage tab. This shows you the size of that folder.
  • From a web browser, connect to Blitz Web Access, then from your Inbox, select Options in the upper-right corner of the window, then See All Options from the menu that appears. With My Account selected, you mailbox usage will appear.

Why Have All or Some of My Messages in the Inbox Disappeared?

Check what view you are using in Outlook. Click View from the Toolbar, then Current View. Select which view works best for you: Messages or Messages with Auto Preview.

How Can I Save an Attachment from a Message?

To save an attachment, you must open the message first. Then right-click on the attachment. From the menu that appears, choose "Save as" or "Save Target as". Navigate to the location where you want the attachment saved.

What Is the Maximum Message Size?

The maximum message size in Dartmouth's Exchange environment is 35 MB.

Is There a Limit to the Number of Messages I Can Send Each Day?

There are three limits that you may encounter:

  1. Recipient limit The maximum number of message recipients allowed in the To:, Cc:, and Bcc: fields is 500.
  2. Message rate limit: The maximum number of e-mail messages that can be sent from a single e-mail client per minute is 30. The client is identified by its IP address.
  3. Recipient rate limit: The maximum number of recipients that can receive e-mail messages sent from a single cloud-based mailbox in a 24 hour period is 10,000.
