Wireless Access Points

Computing Services provides a campus-wide wireless service for use by Dartmouth faculty, students, and staff. Wireless access is also available to the public at large through the use of the Dartmouth Public SSID. Since wireless is provided centrally by Computing Services, the installation of private wireless access points (APs) is not allowed on campus. Personal or departmental APs can and do interfere with the College's centrally provided wireless network system. Computing Services will take steps to shut down any network access provided by personal wireless APs.
