DND Entries

Next >

Anyone who is currently employed by Dartmouth, or who is a student at Dartmouth making normal progress toward a degree, is automatically entered in the Dartmouth Name Directory — the DND. The DND is what controls the creation or deletion of e-mail accounts and access to some restricted services. DND accounts are considered personal accounts. Do not share your password with anyone or allow anyone else to access your account. You are responsible for its use and should be the only person to access any of your accounts or Dartmouth services.

Departments are strongly encouraged to submit the payroll authorizations (PA) for new employees as soon as someone has accepted a position to ensure that the new hire has a DND account the day they start work. Departments should also submit terminating PAs on a timely basis to start the account deactivation process.

Accounts of students on leave for two or more consecutive terms, or those who have been suspended from the College, will be deactivated until they are re-enrolled and active in good standing.
