Spring Cleaning (or Planned Outages) at Computing Services

Peter Kiewit Computing Services will be upgrading and repairing a number of the College’s systems and servers during spring break. Users can expect to see some of the applications disrupted for brief periods when the services are scheduled (mostly during evening or early morning hours).

For example, on Tuesday, March 18 starting at 6:00 a.m., the main Dartmouth Web server (www.dartmouth.edu) will be unavailable for approximately one hour while hardware upgrades are performed. During this time, users will not be able to access any pages that reside on this server.

Also on Tuesday, other online applications including Oracle Calendar, WebAuth, StarTeam, and Linux Web will also be unavailable from 6:00 until 7:00 a.m. due to server upgrades.

For a more complete list of scheduled outages, see your department’s computing consultant or review online at DartPulse.
