New Chief Information Security Officer Announced

Ellen Waite-Franzen, Vice President for Information Technology and CIO, has announced the appointment of Steven Nyman as the new Chief Information Security Officer beginning November 3.

Nyman was Head
of Information Security at Pfizer Inc. for 10 years.  Previous to that position, he worked for the
FBI as a special agent.  Nyman has a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master
of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island.

"I am excited by the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with my new Dartmouth colleagues, faculty, and students," says Nyman, "as we work to determine the most effective information security practices to protect Dartmouth's IT assets and intellectual property."
