Research Computing: Candidate Presentations

Academic Computing is in the process of recruiting for the position of associate director of Research Computing. This is a key position for the Research Computing team: this person will both manage the team and serve as a key contact for faculty seeking assistance with the computing they use to do research.

We are asking the candidates to give a short (15-20 minute) presentation, followed by Q&A. The search committee has asked them to present their ideas on ways a central IT organization (like Kiewit) can best serve and support researchers and their computing needs.

The search committee invites members of the Dartmouth community to attend these presentations and offer feedback to the search committee. The candidates will be on campus on the following dates: March 30 and April 6, 9, and 13. Candidate presentations will be at 3:00 p.m. each day. The location for the March 30 presentation will be in Carson Room 60; all other presentations will be in the Rockefeller 1930 Room.

Anyone with questions about the search and the position should feel free to contact Malcolm Brown, Director of Academic Computing and chair of the search committee.
