Note to CDUG, June 16, 2008
Good morning. I'm writing to inform you of an improvement we are making to our web page editing support.
We are expanding our support to include the help desk consultants. With more people supporting OmniUpdate, we will be able to provide better support for your web page editing needs. The consultants are experienced with OmniUpdate and will be able to answer questions related to logging into OmniUpdate, basic text editing, adding links, images, and files, and so on. Web Services will also support OmniUpdate. We will support requests related to account setup and advanced features of the tool. We will continue to work with departments to set up and design web sites, develop web site strategies, and develop advanced features and functionality. And we will continue to provide one-on-one and group training.
What this means for you is that, when you have a web page editing question, just call the Computing Help Desk at 646-2999 or e-mail help@dartmouth.edu, or go directly to your department's computing consultant for help. In most cases the consultants will be able to help you, but if not, they will contact Web Services staff and we will help.
We hope you find this new support model more reliable and responsive as more people will be available and on hand to help you with your web pages.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Sarah
