The Systems Administration group provides support for many computer systems that comprise the Dartmouth College computing infrastructure. These range from small and large behind-the-scenes systems, to highly-visible critical systems that support academic, research, and administrative needs of the College. Systems Administration is involved in the entire life-cycle of these systems: specifying and ordering systems; managing maintenance contracts; installing and configuring system hardware, operating systems, and other middleware and software. This includes managing the hardware and software at a professional level during its useful lifetime, and planning transition or end support at the end of its useful life.
