Limitations

The DND system currently has the following notable limitations:

  • Full names must be unique.
  • There is no hierarchical namespace.
  • Attributes are restricted to 255 characters, text only (no .jpg photos, etc.).
  • Complex LDAP features like multi-valued attributes are not supported.
