Services

Curricular Support

Video production staff provide videotaping services for classes and work with faculty and students who use video or audio materials in their coursework or research. They also provide equipment and training to students and faculty.

Special Events

The staff provides professional videotaping and editing services for major academic and College events, such as conferences, guest lectures, Commencement, Investitures, Convocation, building dedications, and for training and promotional purposes.

Digital Editing

Video Production maintains digital video and audio editing suites using Avid Technology and Apple Final Cut Pro non-linear systems. These systems allow for the production of materials that can be distributed in traditional tape formats, as well as through digital publishing channels such as DVD, CD-ROM, and the Web.

Streaming Video

Production staff have been proactive in developing the College’s capability to produce live broadcasts of events over the Internet using streaming video technology.

Consulting

Staff members consult with faculty, students, and administrators on the purchase of equipment and services available in-house and from local and regional audio and video producers, satellite uplink facilities, and tape duplicators, often coordinating events with outside vendors to meet clients' needs.
