Location
Founded in 1769, Dartmouth
College is located in Hanover, New Hampshire, a vibrant New
England town two-and-a-half hours northwest of Boston. The College and town sit
at the intersection of the Connecticut River and the Appalachian Trail. To the
east are the White Mountains of New Hampshire; to the west, the Green Mountains
of Vermont. Dartmouth is surrounded by natural beauty, particularly during the
first half of October when the leaves are changing.
