A two-term trustee emeritus and former alumni councilor, Kilmarx led the way on a number of landmark developments at Dartmouth.

IMPACT ON DARTMOUTH

At his first Alumni Council meeting, Kilmarx was appointed head of a committee to address the use of the unofficial Indian mascot. Through a lengthy and complex process, Kilmarx successfully led Dartmouth's discontinued use of the symbol.

EXTRA CREDIT

Kilmarx was made a trustee during his deft handling of the Indian mascot, and among his other achievements, he counts the creation of a committee for Student Life and the development of the Collis Center for non-Greek student social activities.
