More than just entertainment, films and media programs say something about the generations that produce them and the society that embraces them. Dartmouth’s Film and Media Studies Department teaches the analytic and creative skills necessary to be both a critical reader and a creative maker of films, video, and emerging forms of new media. Classes cover the history and theory of film, television and new media, screenwriting, and film, video, and animation production.
Media has never been more pervasive than today, and understanding it has never been more critical than now.
A group forum so dedicated to loving film and encouraging others to explore the art form is not available in most places.
