Visitor Programs

Depending on the time of year, the Admissions Office offers Group Information Sessions, Campus Tours, and Student Forums. Visitors are welcome to pick and choose which events they would like to attend. When multiple events are offered on a given day you may choose to attend events in any order. However, we suggest that visitors attend events in the following order:

1.  Information Session: The Group Information Session provides a valuable introduction and orientation for the applicant and his or her family. During this 45-minute session, an Admissions Officer will discuss admissions and financial aid and answer questions. Information sessions are offered only on select days.

2.  Campus Tour: Student guided walking tours of the campus last approximately one hour in length.

3.  Student Forum: The Student Forum is an opportunity for prospective students to meet with two current Dartmouth undergraduates and hear more about life at Dartmouth.  Discussion topics will include academics, residential life, off-campus study, social life, and opportunities outside of the classroom. During this student-only discussion, Admissions Officers will not be present, and questions on any area of campus life are encouraged. The Student Forum is designed to last about 30 minutes. Student Forums are offered at select times of the year.

If you plan to attend any of these programs during your visit to Dartmouth, please RSVP on our Visitor Events Calendar page. You DO NOT need to contact our office if your plans change. On the day of your visit please check in at the reception desk in the Chamberlain Room on the second floor of McNutt Hall. If for some reason you are unable to register online, you can sign-up at our reception desk on the day of your visit.

Please Note: If you plan to visit Dartmouth with a group of more than 10 students, please call 603-646-2875 to request a tour. We recommend that you contact our office at least one month in advance of your visit. We will do our best to accommodate large groups but in the event that we are unable to accommodate your visit, we will be happy to provide you with a self-guided tour and campus maps. We cannot accommodate large groups when classes are not in session or during the month of April.
