Academics at Dartmouth
The only Ivy League school to refer to itself as a college, Dartmouth stands out among its peer institutions for its commitment to undergraduate education. Faculty members at Dartmouth are recipients of nearly $200 million in annual research grants and consistently rank among the most respected teachers in American higher education. Dartmouth professors are true exemplars of the phrase teacher-scholar; even the most senior professors teach first-year courses. Through course-related discussions, research collaborations, and casual conversation, students get unique opportunities to know their professors as instructors, mentors, colleagues, and friends.
