One of the unusual opportunities afforded by the D-Plan is the unique manner in which students may combine off-campus study with on-campus instruction. Sixty percent of all Dartmouth students participate in at least one of the approximately 48 different off-campus options. These opportunities are considered vital extensions of the regular curriculum, offering invaluable insights into other cultures and new perspectives on life in the U.S. The programs, for which students earn full academic credit, are led by members of the Dartmouth faculty.
In addition to Dartmouth's programs, the College has exchange relationships with numerous schools both in the United States and abroad.
