Students who demonstrate exceptional preparation, on the basis of Advanced Placement exams, International Baccalaureate exams, GCE A level exams, SAT Subject tests, or departmental exams given during Orientation Week may be eligible for advanced standing in certain departments. Specific credits granted in the current academic year are available at www.dartmouth.edu/~frstyear.
Students may have the opportunity to receive either placement or course credit based upon results on AP exams, higher level IB exams, or A-level results. You will not know your exact credit until you enroll and the registrar has assessed your results.
