Application Types

What type of application should I submit to Dartmouth?
International students should refer to the descriptions below to determine the category of admission for which they are eligible. Specific instructions for each group are also listed:

  • If you are an international student attending secondary school, you must apply as an Early or Regular Decision candidate.
  • If you are an international student at an university, you must submit the transfer application and financial aid application by March 1. If you are an international student attending a non-U.S. university, you must complete the University Report for International Students in addition to the application forms. When writing to the Committee on Transfer Admissions for transfer application forms please indicate which university you are attending.
  • If you have completed an undergraduate degree, you cannot apply to Dartmouth as an undergraduate. If you wish to study at the post-graduate level (e.g. MA, MS, MBA, MD, Ph.D.), you should write directly to the relevant graduate school (e.g. the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical School, or the Thayer School of Engineering) or department at Dartmouth for more information.
