After Dartmouth

After DartmouthCareer Services supports students and alumni who are seeking employment and assistance with graduate and professional school placement. Students are encouraged to begin taking advantage of their assistance as early as their first year and to work closely with the office throughout their tenure at Dartmouth.

Career Services works with students to facilitate their career exploration through the use of campus and web-based resources as well as the extensive Dartmouth alumni network.

A sampling of other services provided:

  • Self-assessment exercises and counseling.
  • Resume reviews.
  • Cover-letter writing workshops.
  • Interview preparation sessions.
  • Graduate/professional school preparation advising.
  • Internship search assistance.
  • Full-time job search assistance.

Students pursue a wide variety of occupations after graduation. Over 1,000 graduating seniors were interviewed as to their post-graduate plans; the following statistics were compiled about their immediate plans:
