Admission to Dartmouth is highly selective. The competition is
a function of both the number of applicants as well as their outstanding
credentials. There is no set formula or prescription for admission, however. We
consider the range of different opportunities and educational experiences of
our applicants to be a strength, and therefore take an open-minded and flexible
approach to our review process. An understanding of the applicant's academic
background is supplemented by essays, recommendations, and interviews.
Dartmouth does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex,
age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or status as a disabled
or Vietnam-era veteran, and students from all backgrounds are encouraged to
apply.
We encourage all applicants to review the Application
Components and Fine
Print sections to gain a more complete understanding of what is required of
applicants to Dartmouth and the policies which govern our admissions
process.
