During your visit to Dartmouth we encourage you to enjoy all that the region offers. The towns, countryside, rivers, and mountains of the Upper Valley region—centered on the Connecticut River—offer much to explore.

We've selected some fun family activities for each season, but we encourage you to visit the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce for the full range of opportunities.

Fall

Take a hike and enjoy the fall foliage
Pick apples at a local orchard
Visit Billings Farm in Woodstock, Vermont, a working dairy and museum of rural life
Eat at the Farmer's Diner in Quechee, Vermont and then walk down the Quechee Gorge

Winter

Tour the collection at the Hood Museum
Explore the Montshire Museum of Science (great for younger kids!)
Go ice skating on Occom Pond
Ski or snowboard at the Dartmouth Skiway
