Language Study Abroad in Barcelona
We spent a term together in Barcelona along with 14 other Dartmouth students, one Dartmouth professor, and two teachers from Barcelona. Our host families helped make Barcelona our home. Our professor made the class our family. She would even treat us to ice cream some days after class.
I'm amazed by what I learned about myself when I was immersed in another culture.
Barcelona now feels like my second home.

Dartmouth does study abroad differently. We both gained so much from the experience, from fond memories to Spanish proficiency. It's no wonder that over 60% of students study on one of Dartmouth's 45 study abroad programs.
We had the chance to see a new country. We traveled to Madrid, Sevilla and other inspiring locations. Dartmouth and our professors make study abroad more than a sight-seeing tour.
I learned more Spanish on my ten-week LSA than in years of Spanish classes prior to college. My host mother helped me practice my Spanish and made me feel truly welcome in her home.
