Dartmouth Bound: STEM Exploration September 28 – October 1, 2013
The Dartmouth Bound STEM Exploration Program is designed to provide participants with insight into what STEM programs at Dartmouth offer, as well as information about the admissions and financial aid process. The program is also a forum in which participants engage with current students and Dartmouth faculty to explore the intersection of academics, service, and leadership at the College. All STEM sessions will give participants valuable exposure to research, academics, and life in an Ivy League setting.

2013 Program Overview
During their time on campus, participants will be guided through a hands-on project by the Thayer School of Engineering faculty. Members of the admissions staff, hosts, and current Dartmouth students will offer their perspectives on Dartmouth and advice about navigating the college search and admissions process.
Tours include an orientation of the Dartmouth campus and facilities, as well as specific areas of interest, including tours of the athletic facilities, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, and the Thayer School of Engineering.
Admissions advising and case studies are a hallmark of our Dartmouth Bound programs. Our admissions officers will walk participants through our holistic, individualized review process and provide tips for completing college applications. Participants will also have the chance to review real applications to the College as part of a mock admissions committee exercise. Each participant will also have the opportunity to meet with a member of our Admissions staff to ask questions specific to his or her college application process.
Financial Aid makes the Dartmouth experience possible for all students, regardless of their family finances. Our financial aid officers will provide an overview of how financial aid works at Dartmouth and answer questions.
