Media information:
2003 NCAA Skiing Mens and Womens National Collegiate Championships
March 5-8. 2003
Dartmouth College
Hanover, NH
UPDATED FEBRARY 12, 2003
- Again, advance media registration is not required, but is strongly
recommended. Media credentials will be distributed at the media filing center at each race venue beginning with training days on Monday, March 3, and will be available each day of the championships. The media credential will enable you to access virtually all areas of the race courses at The Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center at Oak Hill in Hanover and at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme Center (including access to the ski lifts.) To register, please send your name, title, organization, mailing address, phone and e-mail to me at rick.adams@dartmouth.edu or call me at 603.646.2286.
- Media filing facilities will be established at three locations: at Race Headquarters in the Hayward Lounge of the Hanover Inn in Hanover, in the "Hers" building at Oak Hill, and in the Chivers Room of the McLane Family Lodge at the Skiway. Each filing center will include fax machine, copier and phone lines for dial-up computer service.
- Start lists, with bib numbers and start order for each event, will be available prior to each race; results will be distributed as soon as possible after the conclusion of each race at each filing center. Official results will also be posted at the conclusion of daily racing on the official Championships Web site, www.dartmouth.edu/~ncaaski
- Interview areas will be established at both race venues, to facilitate post-race interviews with athletes and coaches. The interview areas will be directly adjacent to the finish lines.
- A camera riser and designated media viewing area will be set at the start/finish line at Oak Hill; plans are still developing for possible camera risers on the giant slalom and slalom courses at the Skiway.
- Parking at Oak Hill is limited. One pass to the designated media parking area will be assigned for each media organization; special arrangements may be made for television stations wishing to send uplink trucks to allow best access to sky view. Parking is marginally better at the Skiway; a media parking area will also be designated there as well. Early arrival is recommended; for the complete race schedule go to to www.dartmouth.edu/~ncaaski/schedule/
- For more registration information or if you have any questions, please contact Rick Adams via telephone at 603.646.2286 or via email to rick.adams@dartmouth.edu. Updated information will also be available on the 2003 NCAA Men's and Women's Skiing Championships Web site, www.dartmouth.edu/~ncaaski.
