Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

An FAQ is a database of Frequently Asked Questions. It is often searchable and can be used to answer questions not addressed by the manuals or documentation that accompany computer hardware or software.

As computer tools proliferate, finding answers about how to use them effectively, how to make a change, or how to solve a troublesome issue becomes more and more difficult.

For many years, the IT Service Desk (Help Desk) has been accumulating Dartmouth-specific computer questions. This FAQ that will be available in the future from our Help Desk Tracking System, Remedy, via the web. At this time, we provide access to some vendor searchable FAQs here:
