Buying or Upgrading Your Computer EquipmentComputer Sales and Service provides a Pre-Sales & Demonstration area for computer equipment for the Dartmouth and DHMC communities. In this area you can try out a range of selected Apple and Dell computers, peripherals, and software. You can also find information about third party products, peruse mail order catalogs for price comparisons, or look through Macintosh and PC periodicals. Addresses for the web sites of these information resources is also available, so you can browse current information online or research their archives. In addition, consultants in this area can answer your questions regarding whether you should purchase a new computer, a used computer, or upgrade your old computer. Members of the Dartmouth community are invited to use the Pre-Sales and Demonstration area to evaluate products and learn about their uses. They are located in 171 Berry and are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They can be reached by phone at 646-3249. If you are a faculty or staff member in an academic department and you have questions about computer purchases or upgrades, you should contact your divisional computing office first.
