Pools
These seedings are preliminary; please contact Jean
with any questions, complaints, suggestions, etc. Considerations
were made to avoid DoG and Boss Hogg players unnecessarily playing
against the other contingent that they are bringing. I also avoided
having three Dartmouth teams in the same pool, but made sure to
set up the D'alums vs Dartmouth A game.
I don't know very much about how the Canadian teams match up on
the American teams so please don't hesitate to let me know if something
is off.

Format
There are two elite pools (A and B) and two open pools
(Y and Z). All pools do standard pool play on Saturday, with four
games and a bye. X1 and Y1 go into the top bracket. Pools are then
reseeded into A1-A6, B1-B6, X1-X4, Y1-Y4. That makes for a 12-team
A bracket (standard pre-quarters, etc. format) and an 8-team B bracket
(standard quarters, etc. format). The two open teams that move up
to the A bracket become the bottom seed in the A and the B pools.
The top two teams in the A and B pools have first
round byes on Sunday.
The losers of the four prequarter A games will have
their own 4-team consolation semifinals and finals. The first-round
losers in the B bracket have the option of waiting until the third
round on Sunday, when fields become available, to play their own
consolation.
Pool play byes:
Round 1: 4 seed
Round 2: 2 seed
Round 3: 5 seed
Round 4: 3 seed
Round 5: 1 seed
