Program Description
Students Fighting Hunger
- Seeks to raise awareness about local, national, and global hunger-related issues while meeting local needs through community service
- Participates in community dinners throughout the Upper Valley
- Organizes food deliveries and food drives
- Assists in Red Cross Blood Drive
- Organizes the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, as well as other educational activities.
Focus Areas
The 3 main focus areas are:
- community dinners
- food and clothing drives
- awareness-raising activities
Community Partners
LISTEN Center, Department of Health, Canaan Senior Center, Oxfam, and others.
Time Commitment
Brief weekly meetings to discuss upcoming or ongoing projects; at least 10 hours per term, and an additional 2-3 hours per term for discussion, training and reflection meetingsl
