McNutt Hall

McNutt Hall

Within McNutt Hall are the offices of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. Both offices share a commitment to working with prospective students and their families to ensure that prospective students are well-informed about the College’s many resources, opportunities and programs.

The admissions process is highly selective; each year nearly 12,000 students apply for first-year admission. Each student’s application is reviewed thoughtfully and thoroughly, considering the unique mix of experiences, talents, accomplishments, and potential of each applicant.

Financial aid at Dartmouth is need-based. Over 50% of all undergraduates receive aid in some form, and 40% receive aid packages that include grants. Financial aid initiatives, announced in 1999 and 2001, have added $4.2 million to our scholarship fund, allowing us to reduce loan and job expectations for our undergraduates, and assuring that Dartmouth is accessible to all qualified students.
