University of California, Berkeley, Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, 1996. Minor in Energy and Resources.

Princeton University, B.S. with highest honors, Electrical Engineering, June 1987.

Ph.D. Thesis: Microfabrication of Magnetic Components for High Frequency Power Conversion. Developed a new fabrication process for thin-film transformers and inductors in the Berkeley Microfabrication Laboratory, and developed a design methodology to optimize power handling and efficiency in devices fabricated with this process. Built 8 MHz dc-dc converter test circuit.

Associate Professor of Engineering, Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, 2002-present; Assistant Professor 1996-2002.

Graduate Student Instructor, University of California, Berkeley. Developed laboratory equipment and experiments for new undergraduate power electronics class, taught laboratory sections, 1994.

Design and Development Engineer, Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., Coopersburg, PA. Researched and designed a new high-frequency electronic dimming ballast for compact fluorescent lamps. Work included high-frequency magnetics design, resonant power conversion, and design for low cost and manufacturability, 1987-1990.

Power Electronics Group Leader, CalSol, the UC Berkeley Solar-Powered Vehicle Race Team. Designed and built the electrical system of a solar-powered race vehicle, 1991-1993.

Chief Engineer, Princeton Broadcasting Service. Upgraded and maintained broadcast and studio equipment for WPRB, a student-run 17-kilowatt commercial FM broadcasting station, 1984-1987.

Instructional Aide, Princeton Regional Schools. Gave lectures and led laboratories for high school physics class, 1985-1986.
