ENGS 32 Resources
PSpice
You will be provided a CD with a free student version of PSpice for
Windows;
it's better than the one you can download from here
, so I don't recommend using this link.
Electronics Design Resources
This is excerpted from a longer list
including non-electronics stuff.
Parts stocked at Thayer.
Finding Manufacturers and Parts
- IC Master, an index to
integrated circuits by function. Rather than designing a circuit, use
this index to find a ready-made IC that does what you want.
- DigiKey, an electronics
distributor whose catalog is a great resource; their website includes
links to manufacturers' web sites.
-
Logic Families Chart from Texas Instruments. Summary of logic
family characteristics.
- Searching Technical Literature and Patents
- IEEExplore, a huge
database not only indexing electrical and electronics journal papers,
but
- INSPEC database,
a comprehensive index to technical literature in electrical engineering
and physics. Access from Dartmouth College.
- Delphion, index to US
patents.
- Other lists of links
IEEE
The IEEE (Institute for Electrical
and Electronics Engineers) is the international professional
organization for electrical engineers.
Student membership is available at a good discount rate, and will
allow you to get publications at a discount, join technical societies,
attend the many Boston-area chapter meetings and talks, attend
conferences at a discount, etc.
