Hanover Based Programs

Our Community Programs developed as a response to a demand in the Upper Valley Area for language classes. Community Programs have been offered through the Rassias Foundation at Dartmouth College since the late 1980's.

Currently we offer classes in English as a Second Language, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. All classes are held on the Dartmouth College campus. Our students range from the spouses of graduate students to Upper Valley residents.

Class Format:
Specific class times and structure can vary depending on the needs of the instructor. Class generally meets twice a week for two hours at a time. During the first hour, a Master teacher instructs students. During the final hour, the class is split into smaller sections and Assistant Teachers trained in the Rassias Method® reinforce the skills worked on in the master class. Most classes run for eight weeks.

Dates for Spring 2008:
Our Spring classes begin the week of March 31 and conclude the week ending May 23. All students except rank beginners must have participated in a Rassias course at the preceding level or have a telephone placement interview before class begins. All classes are subject to cancellation.
