game 1 vs. harvard: 4-6, bad guys
despite being the home team, we still managed to be the last team to arrive. we started a little slowly, and quasar pulled ahead early. then we remembered that princess 07s rock, and we rallied. despite harvard's attempt to take advantage of christine's gimpy foot, we made them fight for every point. there were an unbelievable number of death points, but harvard squeezed by via the cap.
game 2 vs. tufts: 6-5, good guys --THIS WAS THE VERY FIRST VICTORY FOR THE 07'S--
beata miscalled both flips and we had to cover our flair, but we turned it on to stuff ewo in a hole. some hecklers finally showed up to cheer us, bringing the essential tiny cat and doombox. arielle was sooo big with her super sweet catching, and blair rocked the cuts... no one could mark her.
game 3 vs. whufo: 6-1, good guys
we enthralled whufo early with cristina and alex's sexy interpretive dancing. they didn't stand a chance against that. crank was added to our roster when whufo wanted their rather mannish player in a dress to play. Mar rocked the endzone, catching huck after huck, and bernice looked fantastic with her hot d's.
game 4 vs. ufx: a lot - a little, bad guys
we took back the rest of the princesses to play ufx, except for the traitorous viver. apparently she's kind of good though, because we just couldn't manage to get on top. beata, ludi, and lil liz had some hot handling and really worked their zone. becky's sticky fingers and popping were golden.
game 5 vs. Yale: 9-6, bad guys
yale pulled ahead in the beginning, but as the wind picked up, we traded points until they ended it nearly in the dark. whip had improved so much that day that no defender could hold her and she was always open. tracey and jen were super solid and abby whipped out the leisure suit to give them a run for their money.
it was exciting to see the freshmen playing together so well! Yay for winning, showing incredible spirit, and sporting some classy flair, princesses!
also a BIG thanks to Abby, Blair, and Mar for spending time planning & getting our yummy tournament food! fruit roll-ups are such an improvement, and CREAM CHEESE as opposed to peanut butter. clearly we operate tournaments on another, higher plane.
