About Dartmouth CollegeBaker Library

Dartmouth College is located in Hanover, New Hampshire, a small New England town dating back to a few years before the College's founding in 1769. The Medical School is located on two campuses. One in Hanover, and the other at the site of the new Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center campus in Lebanon. This campus is three miles from the main campus, just south of the Hanover-Lebanon townline.

Although Hanover has changed considerably since the time when Dartmouth's founder, Eleazar Wheelock, chose his site in the North Country wilderness, the natural beauty of the town's surroundings still plays an important role in the community's life and spirit. Situated in the upper valley of the Connecticut River, between the White Mountain range of New Hampshire and the Green Mountains of Vermont, Hanover combines the advantages of a rural setting with the resources of a university.

Directions to both the DHMC (Lebanon) and Dartmouth (Hanover) campuses are available, as well as information and links about the The Upper Valley Region of New Hampshire and Vermont, and its diverse cultural and recreational opportunities.
