SLEEP PHYSIOLOGY RESEARCH:

Physiologists at Dartmouth investigate the effects of sleep upon many aspects of cardiorespiratory control, particularly in neonates as part of the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) research project. The influence of sleep state upon the capability of an infant to arouse from sleep in response to environmental stimuli is a principal interest. (See also Systems Neuroscience topics.)
