IMMUNOLOGY RESEARCH:
Physiologists at Dartmouth work at the exciting interface between the endocrine and immune systems. Their studies are elucidating how homeostasis is maintained during pregnancy, the menstrual cycle, sepsis, surgical trauma and aging by dynamic interactions among sex steroids, adrenal steroids, immune cells, and hormones of the immune system (cytokines).
