DARTMOUTH MEDICAL SCHOOL
DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY

Program in Molecular, Cellular and Systems Physiology

EPITHELIAL BIOLOGY RESEARCH:

Physiologists at Dartmouth investigate the unique properties of epithelial cells, including epithelial polarity, intracellular trafficking of organelles, receptors, and channels, cell signaling and cytoskeletal dynamics. They have developed live cell models to study these processes utilizing state-of-the art confocal microscopy and video-enhanced microscopy.

Faculty working in the Epithelial Biology area:

Fejes-Toth, A, (also cell signaling, molecular endocrinology and renal physiology)

Fejes-Toth, G. (also cell signaling, molecular endocrinology and renal physiology)

Stanton (also cell signaling, and renal and respiratory physiology)

Wira (also molecular and reproductive endocrinology and immunology)
