POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

A postdoctoral position is available immediately for an individual interested in joining an interdisciplinary research program. Ongoing projects include (but not limited to) investigations of the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying plasticity in development and adult CNS induced by neurotransmitters, neurotrophins, and alcohol. Experimental approaches combine patch clamp electrophysiology in brain slices, quantitative analysis of gene and protein expression in single cells, transgenic mouse models and targeted gene transfer.

The successful candidate should have a solid background in either electrophysiology or molecular biology; practical knowledge in both is a plus.
