Dinner with a Doc The Nathan Smith Executive Committee will continue its highly successful "Dinner with a Doc" program in the spring term. Up to 10 students will be able to have a small informal dinner with one member of the DMS/DHMC faculty, paid for by the NSS. A great chance to get an informal look into medicine and talk about the professional and non-professional life of a physician! Stay tuned for announcements of individual events, which will be advertised by blitzmail. Suggestions from the NSS membership as to DMS/DHMC faculty who you would like to invite welcome!

Other Programs for Spring, 2008 The NSS Executive Committee is planning several other programs for the spring, highlighted by a series of events exploring with some A&S and DMS faculty and DMS students the Hippocratic Oath and its "modern" implications. There will also be a Senior Night for graduating seniors who have been applying to med/dental/vet school over the last year to pass on their valuable adivice and an annual (and very popular) evening session with Andy Welch, DMS Admissions Director examining real applications to medical school. The latter, called "Mock Admissions Night" will give all students good perspective as to what constitutes a competitive application and how to prepare themselves. Suggestions for other activities are always welcome!
